WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Some in Warner Robins commercial circles are wondering about the next steps as the city works to demolish buildings.
“Downtown development is really needed,” Kenneth Ivery said.
He owns a tire shop in Watson that has been around for about 23 years.
“I own four other lots,” he said.
After years of watching businesses join Circle, he wants to help revitalize and revive businesses.
“We have been communicating for the past six months and we will do whatever it takes to resolve this issue,” Ivery said.
He would like to sell his land to the city, but that's not a luxury every business owner has. There are property owners who have leases through the city, but when their leases expire, they will be evicted.

Some owners are renting from the property management company that sold them to the city. Mayor LaRonda Patrick says the city can help these businesses.
“If you need 3,400 square feet of land for your business, these areas may fit your needs. Here's how to get in touch with the property owners,” said Patrick. Ta.
She says she will only provide assistance if a company requests it.
“We don't want to create any illustrations with the intention of putting them out there right away,” she says.
Patrick said he hopes this transition will be a smooth one for everyone and is grateful to the companies that made this vision a reality.
“Myself and the city are really grateful to the business owners and landowners who said, 'We want to sell our property to you for your vision of building a new downtown in Warner Robins, Georgia.' ” she said.
At this time, the city does not have a list of properties for people who need to relocate, she said. Patrick is still working on blueprint plans and has not done any renderings yet, she said.
