A TikTok showing what appears to be a castle on fire has gone viral on social media, leading some news organizations to report on the fire as if it were real.
This caused “Disney World Castle Fire” to trend online for several hours on Sunday the 24th.
TikTok has already been viewed more than 24 million times and shared about 195,000 times.
The caption read, “We're not crying, you're…it's okay, we're crying too.”
Although the comments included the hashtag #aigenerated #ai to show people the real truth.
The account that posted the clip is Mouse Trap News.
They bill themselves as “the world's best satire and parody site.”
The official website also prefaced this by saying, “I can guarantee that everything you read here is not true, real, or accurate, but it will be fun.''

What are people saying about hoaxes?
About 15,000 people left comments on the fake TikTok video, many of whom believed the hoax.
One panicked and said: “I don't know if it's real or not.”
Another wrote: “Why did Cinderella Castle go up in flames at Disney World? Isn't that the happiest place on Earth?!”
People who noticed the hashtag said, “This is the scary thing about AI.
“It's getting hard to tell with AI-generated footage alone, but when you cut it in combination with real footage, it becomes 10 times harder.”
Some people weren't too happy with the ploy, with one saying: “This is a lie… nothing is happening in the castle… people like to make up lots of stories and lies.”
“If the castle burned down, everyone in the world would know about it and it would be the first thing reported on every media platform,” another account said before slamming the account that posted the clip.
After TikTok, hundreds of people also took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their concerns over the supposed fire.
Even though some people recognized the obvious hoax, others remained concerned.
The guy who's trying to clean it up shows up and says, “Cinderella Castle didn't burn, we live behind Disney.
“There was a fire behind us, but the castle is still standing. Don't believe everything about X.”
Is Disney World open?
Yes, Disney World is open as usual.
Although the park is officially open 24 hours a day, certain activities and adventures are restricted to certain hours.
The popular Animal Kingdom theme park is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Blizzard Beach Water Park is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The iconic Hollywood Studios and Epcot are both open 12 hours a day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
