CRN SMA award categories are constantly evolving in response to industry feedback, and 2024 was no exception.
Since the coronavirus pandemic forced us to accept awards virtually, we want to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond during difficult times, and individuals who have made a tremendous impact on both their companies and communities during the pandemic. We have established categories for awards in each section. . Thankfully, the impact of COVID-19 has now passed, but individual awards have evolved slightly over the past few years, with more than just awards given to those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in the years following the pandemic. It's now a category.
But this year, in keeping with the SMA theme, we're bringing back the awards so each award is for the best in the sales or marketing field – a rising star in the company. Someone who consistently achieves their goals, or someone who goes above and beyond to achieve a goal, or someone who makes a particular campaign a huge success.
We hope that all businesses in the world of vendors, resellers and distributors will want to recognize the high flyers and celebrate their successes on the night.
This year we have added new categories – Optimal use of data/AI in marketing campaigns – We know AI is here to stay, and we're excited to see how channel companies are leveraging this technology and leveraging it to their advantage. This is also open to all vendors, resellers and distributors.
Another new category this year – best operation team – We're replacing Best Warehouse Team after receiving feedback that Ops is a better way to represent all the people working hard behind the scenes in logistics to fulfill orders and keep the company running smoothly.
Finally, the new “Best Talent Acquisition Agency“Best Channel Recruitment Firm” has been replaced by “Best Channel Recruitment Firm.” He knows there are more than three players in the market and hopes the new category name will encourage those who perhaps hadn't considered entering before.
All other categories remain unchanged as they have proven popular in the industry. So we're looking forward to seeing who comes forward in these categories.
