Recognizing the importance of catering to travelers with pets, Visit Knoxville launched a series of dog-friendly ads earlier this year, said Angie Wilson, Visit Knoxville's senior director of marketing. These ads generated more than 7,375 hotel reservations for her and approximately $1.8 million in hotel revenue, demonstrating the growing appreciation for pet-friendly destinations in the United States.
