Vivian Reese Hill has been appointed assistant director of the Master of Science in Finance program in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, effective December 5, 2023.
“Our Master of Science in Finance program exists to support students in transforming their lives through education,” Hill said. “I am very happy to be able to contribute to enhancing the future of our students. Walton's Finance Master's degree program not only stimulates students' intellectual curiosity, but also gives them a competitive advantage in the workplace. That curiosity moves the world forward.
The Graduate Degree in Finance is a one-year, full-time program that provides students with data analysis and advanced concepts in financial markets and venture innovation. This lucrative degree helps students advance their careers in areas such as financial management and analysis, securities/commodities, and budget analysis. Priority applications for the fall semester are due by April 15th.

Hill comes to the Finance Department with a wealth of knowledge about Walton College and the university. Previously, he worked in Walton College's School of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Innovation, Office of the Center for Applied Sustainability, Tyson Center for Faith and Spirituality, and Department of the Treasury, providing administrative support.
In these roles, she was responsible for the department's event management, office management, marketing and communications coordination, and accounts receivable.
A first-generation college graduate, Hill earned a bachelor's degree in art and performance from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master of science degree in operations management from the University of Texas. She is from Hope, Arkansas and is an avid artist. Hiker.
