Virginia Tech and Oregon State join women's basketball Power 10

With just four weeks left until Sunday's selection, the world of women's college basketball is rife with unfortunate runs and surprise falls.

Below is a snapshot of this changing landscape, with NCAA.com correspondent Autumn Johnson presenting her latest Power 10 rankings here.

Power 10 for the week of February 18, 2024

1. South Carolina (1) – A slow start saw the Siamcocks fall behind Georgia State 9-11-13, but South Carolina fought back late to give coach Dawn Staley the longest SEC winning streak in conference history.
2. Ohio State University (2) – The Buckeyes used the third quarter effectively to defeat Nebraska and move to 11-1 in the Big Ten.
3. Stanford (3) – The Cardinal held Cal to just five second-quarter points and cruised to a 35-point win on Friday.
4. Texas (4) – The Longhorns defeated Iowa State on Saturday, extending their winning streak to six and staying within one game of competing for the Big 12 title.
5. Iowa (5) – A huge congratulations to Caitlin Clark for breaking the all-time NCAA scoring record in women's college basketball. And what about her signature shot from the history-making logo?
6. NC state (6) – GT's Carla Dunn made an unbelievable shot in Raleigh on Sunday to force overtime, but NC State avoided disaster and defeated the Yellow Jackets 86-85 in overtime.
7. Indiana (9) – Indiana, which has won three straight, heads to Champaign on Monday night for a Thursday home date on Clark's Hawkeyes loom.
8. Southern California (10) – Southern California found a way to beat surging Oregon State on Sunday in Corvallis, picking up its sixth win on the bounce.
9. Virginia Tech (NR) – The Hokies return to the Power 10 after suffering their first home loss of the year with a dominant win over Louisville.
10. Oregon (NR) – Despite the loss to USC, Oregon State is one of the hottest teams in the sport, having won six straight entering Sunday, with five of those games coming against ranked teams.
