Despite the cultural change, West excelled academically, and she earned a bachelor's degree in economics and sociology from the University of Toronto.

In 2018, West embarked on a new chapter by pursuing an MBA at the University of the West Indies. This endeavor strengthened her foundation in business strategy and marketing management and strengthened her strategic acumen.
