CASPER, Wyo. – A fire destroyed a home in the Antelope Hills neighborhood Tuesday morning, killing two adult dogs and leaving a puppy missing.
Casper Fire-EMS said it received a report of a structure fire around 8:44 a.m. Tuesday. The initial call stated that they saw smoke in the area but could not locate the structure. Responders determined it was located at 17677 Pronghorn Road.
Multiple units from the Natrona County Fire District and Bar Nunn Fire Department responded, along with agencies from Banner Health Wyoming Medical Center and the Natrona County Sheriff's Office.
When emergency personnel arrived, they found a double-wide trailer on fire in one of the bedrooms. Crews attacked the fire from inside and outside, according to the release. The fire caused floors to collapse in multiple locations while firefighters were inside. No firefighter injuries were reported.
No one was home and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, according to the release. The house appears to have been completely destroyed by fire and smoke damage, and two dogs were found dead inside. One puppy is reportedly missing.
“The victims of this fire lost their homes and family pets, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers,” the release said. “A Natrona County Burn Fund check and hotel room will be provided to the owner.”
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
