The name Pegasus is known to many as the majestic white winged horse from Greek mythology. Now, Pegasus, up for adoption at the Truckee-Tahoe Humane Society (HSTT), may not be a flying horse, but he certainly looks majestic and regal. Like a creature from Greek mythology, HSTT's Pegasus is true to the power and spirit of a strong, majestic, and beautiful horse.
Not only is the Pegasus an attractive looking dog, it also loves snow and outdoor recreation. He has a thick coat that's perfect for the cold and snowy Tahoe winters, and will gladly accompany him to any outdoor winter sports or outings. In fact, he wants a home with indoor and outdoor access so he can spend time outdoors whenever he wants.
This gentle giant is 3 years old and weighs just under 100 pounds. But there's no need to be afraid of his size. He is great on a leash and is gentle with people. He's smart, curious, and looking for the perfect person to bond with. Pegasus can be a bit sensitive to how he is treated, and he will appreciate being given his space and being allowed to approach you on his own terms. Pegasus loves walks and adventures, so having a home where he can get plenty of exercise would be great.
Pegasus is a handsome man looking for a partner in crime! If you live in the winters of Tahoe and want someone to spend the winter with, look no further. Pegasus is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.
