Providence defeated Creighton last night to advance to the Big East Tournament semifinals. The Friars kept their NCAA Tournament chances alive, but will likely need to beat Marquette tonight to gain any confidence on Sunday night's selection show. Kim English, the former Missouri guard you may remember for his March Madness magic, did a great job in his first year replacing Ed Cooley, winning 21 games total.
But as stupid as it all is, the big thing last night was him trending on Twitter as a handsome devil. So an intrepid reporter demanded answers about English's love life at the post-game press conference. It was both awkward and interesting. The best ones tend to be that way.
If someone had the energy to get upset about this and demand a crackdown on credentialing, they probably could. On the other hand, the public really wanted to know. Mr. English was clearly wiser to kiss and tell, and diplomatically made no comment. After being genuinely taken aback by the unusual way he asked the question, you might as well have told him that you've been snooping around on his Blorgdotcom and by the way, what's going on in the bedroom?
Is this March?
