Nationally, Priceline reports a more than 20% increase in hotel searches in cities such as Washington, D.C., Charlotte, Charleston and Honolulu.
Texas is also proving to be very popular this upcoming Memorial Day. Compared to Memorial Day 2023, Dallas saw a 98% increase in hotel searches, while Houston saw a massive 25% increase.
Meanwhile, Montreal has emerged as a trending international destination, with searches up 112%.
Salt Lake City, Honolulu, San Diego, Tampa and Dallas are hot spots this spring when it comes to the nation's trendiest destinations based on flight searches. Other favorites include Detroit, Boston, Charleston, St. Louis, and Houston. According to Priceline, the average cost of a round-trip ticket to these cities is between $312 (Detroit) and $440 (San Diego).
Internationally, trendy destinations include Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. Mexico, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Canun.
