EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – There are three providers looking to expand in the Eau Claire area, each with a specific niche.
“We made plans to expand slowly. But with recent announcements, we've stepped it up even more.”
North Lakes Community Clinic already has pediatric dental and behavioral health facilities in Eau Claire, but is now looking to expand.
“We're talking about purchasing additional buildings and adding behavioral health, recovery programs and maybe medical services as well. We hope to be up and running by May, but we're not fully accredited. ,” said Reba Rice, CEO of North Lakes Community Clinic.
They hope to secure the building by the end of February.
Pivotal Health is expanding into Eau Claire and has already secured providers in the area.
“Pivotal Health providers visit patients at their homes, apartments, or anywhere else to receive emergency care and primary care services,” said Pivotal Health's Sal Bryco.
And these providers may be people who lost their jobs during the shutdown.
“We plan to have healthcare providers on-site and start seeing patients in just a few weeks. One of the biggest problems in healthcare is that people who shouldn't be in the ER So we gave them a very easy-to-use option,” Braico said.
And that option keeps some people out of the ER and provides more room for those who need it.
Remedy Mental Health will also relocate to Eau Claire. All they need now is a space that they feel fits their preferred environment.
“For those who are suffering, we sincerely hope that this situation will be a welcome one.
We hope to be fully operational by the first week of May, with the hope that there will be no gaps in the care patients are receiving. So we know we're going to have to make a decision here in the next week or so to make that happen,” said Daniel Golden, CEO of Remedy Mental Health.
Remedy has already hired 95% of the Prevea Behavioral Health outpatient clinic employees who lost their jobs.
All of these expansions are expected to be completed by spring.
