A video showing a small apartment in Tokyo has gone viral online. The clip shows a man being shown around a house that may seem like an “insane” accommodation choice to many.
YouTuber Noam Nakamura shared the video, adding that the apartment is located in an upscale area of Tokyo and the rent can exceed $800.
“Small apartments are by no means rare, but this small and completely see-through. It's new. The crazier part is how expensive it is…Japan's micro-apartment scene… , a new layer of 'but why' has been added,'' Nakamura wrote, sharing the video.
In the video, Nakamura is seen patrolling around the apartment, which appears to be a large balcony with clear glass surrounding it. Not only that, but throughout the clip, Nakamura is completely confused about where to put his bed and store his belongings like clothes and dishes in his apartment.

“Forget the claustrophobic panic you feel when you go up to that apartment and live there. I had nightmares about leaving the windows open and falling out of the house and ending up a pancake on the street.” “What if you drop it and it slides off the side of your house? Oh my god. I don't even know how most of that is legal,” a fourth questioner wondered. “The reaction to this apartment is, 'Oh my god!' Even if there was a small enough piece of furniture, that staircase wouldn't be wide enough to put anything on it. Thank you Norm, that was a trip,” a fifth person wrote.
