Around 200 people took part in a 15km cycling expedition in Bukit Riada, RPN Kampung Pangkor yesterday to promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Recreational Cycling Expedition 2024 will be organized under the Happy Environment and Lifestyle (HEAL) Program, in collaboration with Gleneagles JPMC and the HEAL Program's 2024 Health Ambassadors, RPN Kampung Pangkor Village Council, Health Promotion Center organized by.
Mohammad Hilmi bin Haji Ahmad, Deputy Village Head of RPN Kampung Pangkor Zones 1 and 3, said the program aims to encourage village residents to actively participate in physical activity, regardless of their age. He said they are promoting a healthy lifestyle among the villagers.
Before the expedition begins, he encourages cyclists to ensure their bikes are in good condition, maintain distance from other cyclists during the event, and wear appropriate equipment and safety equipment. did.
The cyclists made a pit stop at the Brunei Radio Television parking lot and returned to Bukit Riada.
The Ministry of Health hopes that HEAL and similar programs will help solve problems related to non-communicable diseases such as obesity, cancer and heart disease.
