Texas Tech is currently featured at 4-star EDGE in Humble (Texas) Summer Creek 2025 Chad WoodforkAccording to the On3 Adoption Prediction Machine (RPM).
On3 national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman recorded an expert confidence prediction of 60% that the Red Raiders would land in Woodfork. Texas Tech currently has him leading in RPM at 91.5%.
Earlier in the week, Texas was in the lead for Woodfork despite coming off a visit to the University of Southern California. But now the Red Raiders seem to be in control.
“EDGE Top 100's Chad Woodfork had a busy January with visits to Texas, Baylor and Southern California,” Spiegelman wrote. “Texas State and Texas Tech have hosted Woodfork more than any other school. The former Longhorns DL coach has accepted the same position at LSU, with Woodfork scheduled to be on campus on March 9th. .Michigan State is also considered for a visit. Officials expect this to be a Texas vs. Texas Tech contest.”
Woodfork told On3 that a decision could be made soon, but he needs to be sure of his decision.
“I think a decision could be made soon,” Woodfork told On3 on Monday. “I'd like to see a few more places, and then…” I've seen and heard a lot about all of these schools and what they offer. He has to make sure he's 100 percent, but he knows 95 percent (I'm sure) where he's going. ”

Woodfork visited Texas Tech last year and had this to say about the program in Lubbock:
“They're all really, really good people,” Woodfork said. “Without a doubt, I talk to them the most. We have a great relationship and I feel like I have a real connection with all of the defensive coaches over there. It's certainly a great situation and that You can tell the relationship is real. This isn't a hashtag. It's genuine And they talk to you every day. ”
“Junior Day was great…organized and everything was great,” he continued. “They laid out a plan and it was a good experience to work with the coaches. Lubbock is a real college town with a college environment. Everything is built around Texas Tech University. , Texas Tech University is the regional center.”
