JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, located at 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.
Here we will introduce two of them.
Tater is a large four-month-old couch potato, so he was appropriately named. He weighs a whopping 50 pounds, so we expect him to be quite a big boy.
He is the most gentle and laid back puppy we have ever met and is at the perfect age to adapt to your home life and family. You won't want to miss the chance to call him yours.
Miss Puddles is a shy kitten who was brought in as one of 13 kittens from the same home. All are beautiful Russian blue.
It was a very scary experience for her and her friends as they had not had much interaction with new people before. We hope that a modest, quiet homebody will take the time to ease her nerves, build her confidence, and endear her to someone new.
Miss Puddles is about 2 years old, weighs 7 pounds, and is petite. We are offering “One Get One” special adoptions for pairs of cats in the Miss Puddles Family Group.
An online application is required to adopt a dog. Meeting the dog is also a must. You can use a cat room walkthrough to test your reactions. Dog adoption fees are $150 for medium and large dogs and $250 for puppies and small dogs, and include vaccinations, microchip and neutering.
Cat adoption fees are $60 for one cat or $80 for two cats and include applicable exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter.
