(Washington, DC) – More than two-thirds of small business owners surveyed say they have to pay for child care, according to a new report from Small Business Majority, a national small business organization with a network of 85,000 small businesses. more affordable and accessible to working parents and employers.
Sarah Rittling, executive director of FFYF, recently participated in a White House roundtable with leaders from the Small Business Association, the child care industry, and the small business world and issued the following statement:
“As this new report shows, the challenge of childcare is also a business challenge. When childcare is difficult to find or too expensive to afford, it impacts young children, their families and employers. Exploring ways to ensure that all parents can find and afford the child care they need will require a variety of approaches, and will require efforts from both sides of the aisle and across the administration to expand policy and funding. I look forward to working with legislators on the sides of the family care program.”
