After years of turmoil orchestrated by Glazer, Manchester United enter uncharted territory and a fresh start under the management of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.
The Lancashire-born billionaire and his petrochemical company now have complete sporting control over the Red Devils following the club's minority takeover. Nothing much has changed on the pitch yet, but we wasted no time at board level.
Omar Berarda has been poached from Manchester City to become new CEO and Dan Ashworth is currently on gardening leave before joining the club from Newcastle to streamline and revive a farcical football operation. Further appointments are expected to be made.
But discussing changes in the boardroom is no fun, and Ratcliffe will be defined by his results on the field. With that in mind, he focused on the six players he needs to rebuild United's future.
Andre Onana
It has been a difficult debut season for Onana, who was brought in with the hope of giving United more possession as they build up from the back.
However, the main theme of the first campaign between the sticks was mainly blunders, with United not being good at playing. That being said, Onana has improved quite a bit in the second half of the season and is definitely world class at his best.
Replacing David De Gea was the right decision and Onana is only 27 years old so we will be rooting for him as he starts a difficult first season. One thing he has never lacked is resilience and character.
Couple that with very clear abilities and there's no reason he can't be great.
Lisandro Martinez
In the same game he made a triumphant return from a foot injury and United fans feared they would never see Butcher back to his best again, but yet another freak injury occurred and Martinez was sent back on the shelf. It was done.
It's no coincidence that United looked terrible for the most part without the Argentine in the eleven. From his tough tackling to his insane press resistance to his obvious charisma and leadership qualities, he is without a doubt one of their most important talented assets.
Martinez raises the level of his colleagues around him and is key for United to improve their possession and get tougher from there. A captain without an armband.

Coby Mainu
Without putting any more unnecessary pressure on the teenager at one of the biggest clubs in football, which is attracting attention from all angles, we think Mainu could be the second coming of Jesus.
All kidding aside, there's no need to reiterate just how talented the Stockport-born maestro is already. United have discovered a new homegrown hero who could become their midfield metronome for the next 15 years. he's a really good person.
Tough in the tackle, unfazed by any rival or big opponent in front of him, and obscenely smooth with the ball at his feet, Mainu embodies everything that all-conquering United should represent.
It is important to monitor his growth and protect him from burnout.
Alejandro Garnacho
A promising kid who was willing to ignore and break the rules at youth level, Garnacho needed to get into shape, but his once rough diamond now looks increasingly polished.
Garnacho looked special from the moment he arrived in Manchester during the coronavirus pandemic and made himself known to the world by scoring twice in the 2022 FA Youth Cup final, but his start under manager Erik ten Hag The delay made me question his mental health.
Since that early wobble, the skies have proven the Argentine's limits. The 19-year-old has become one of the top names on the team sheet under manager Ten Hag and can turn defenders into dust on either flank.
His mentality, combined with his incredible technical ability, is formidable for his age and it's hard not to think of a young Cristiano Ronaldo.
He has already made 74 appearances for the first team and contributed to 21 goals this season, including a potential goal with an overhead kick against Everton.
United need to do everything in their power to ensure that he develops properly and stays in Manchester, rather than returning to his native Madrid should the opportunity arise.

Rasmus Hoylund
Considering the £72m United parted with to sign Hojlund from Atalanta, it would be pretty insane if he wasn't included on this list.
Thankfully, despite his late start in the Premier League, his ability in front of goal and physical attributes already show he has more potential than being worth the transfer fee.
With Anson Martial seemingly permanently sidelined, Hojlund, effectively the only striker at the club, has had to shoulder immense expectations in his first year at the club, but he has already scored 13 goals and provided two assists for the Red Devils. It is recorded.
Just 21 years old, he moves around the box like a seasoned centre-forward sniffing out half-chances, but has incredible range with both feet and blistering speed and strength. Danish bulldozers could use another striker to learn from him, but retaining the 21-year-old will be key.
As long as Ratcliffe sets himself up at United, there is little doubt that he will become the best player in the world in the coming years.
