As the number of injuries and pet deaths continued to rise in late 2021, consumers began filing individual and class-action Seresto lawsuits against manufacturers, each accusing them of false or failed warnings to pet owners. A similar claim was filed for purchasing a product with misleading information. They and their pets face serious health risks from exposure to toxic pesticides.

Celeste Color Litigation Settlement Agreement
The parties first announced Seresto's preliminary settlement agreement (PDF) on December 21, 2023, and preliminary approval was granted by the court last week on January 25.
As part of the agreement, the defendants will pay a total of $15 million to the Seresto Settlement Fund. If the plaintiff provides valid proof of purchase, she is entitled to receive $13.00 for each Seresto collar purchased per pet. If you do not have proof of purchase, you will receive a credit for only 2 collars or up to $26.00 per pet.
Additionally, individuals whose pets sustain non-fatal injuries are eligible to receive $25.00 per pet or 100% of the out-of-pocket amount of documented medical expenses incurred by the pet. Plaintiffs whose pets sustain catastrophic injuries are eligible to receive $300 for each pet killed, 100% of documented medical costs, and 100% of non-covered out-of-pocket costs. The cost of burial, cremation, or other documented method of disposal of your pet.
Plaintiffs have until July 22 to file a motion to join the Seresto pet collar settlement or opt out of the class action agreement, which would allow them to pursue their claims individually. It becomes possible.
