(played by Anderson) attracted the attention of the entire UK. The impact was immediate, as Prince Andrew announced in the days following the broadcast that he was stepping back from royal duties. The film, directed by Philip Martin, is an adaptation of former Newsnight editor-in-chief Sam McAllister's book Scoop: Behind the Scenes of the BBC's Most Shocking Interviews.

One Life had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2023, and its European premiere at the 2023 London Film Festival.
