For those who value aesthetics in their electronics, Samsung's The Frame lifestyle TV remains a popular choice. Refreshed for 2024, the latest version of The Frame features several upgrades that make the digitized artwork on display even better TV to enjoy than before.
The premise of The Frame 4K QLED 2024 is the same. A museum-worthy TV with a slightly matte finish and optional ornate bezel. However, compared to the previous version, the updated model comes with a Pantone Validated Artful Color check. This basically means that under normal lighting conditions, the piece will look even closer to a museum piece.
Perhaps more interestingly, The Frame 2024 also introduces new energy-saving measures. In Art mode, the TV's dynamic refresh rate drops from 120Hz to his 60Hz, which requires less power.
That being said, is this kind of TV the right choice for you? We used the Frame 2024 in the wild and also conducted some preliminary tests using our benchmark equipment. Here's what you need to know:

Available in a total of five sizes and with bezels in a variety of colors and materials at a premium price. Samsung The Frame 2024: Design
Frame TV is designed to look like art on your wall when not in use. To support this effect, Samsung has made several design changes compared to other 2024 TVs from the same brand. Firstly, the TV is compatible with a variety of interchangeable bezels, but in each case you will have to pay extra.
Although the TV can stand on its legs, it is intended to be mounted on the wall using a special slim-fit wall mount that allows the TV to sit flush against the wall. It also comes with Samsung's One Connect box, which lets you offload all your inputs to a separate box and tuck it into a cabinet or somewhere easily accessible. This box connects to your TV via One Invisible Connection. This is basically a light colored cable that is less noticeable than a black cable.
When installed correctly and with the bezel in place, The Frame TV certainly looks like it belongs in a museum. The anti-reflective screen eliminates the gloss typically found on TV screens, making the art displayed look more realistic.
Samsung The Frame 2024: Features
The most important new feature in The Frame 2024 is the new dynamic refresh. This eco-friendly setting reduces the refresh rate of your TV when it's in Art Mode (that is, when you're not watching a show or movie). Anti-reflective 4K TVs typically run a 120Hz signal, but Art Mode drops it to 60Hz. If you upgrade from a 2021 or 2022 frame with a 120Hz refresh rate to a newer frame, the savings may also be reflected in your utility bills.
Speaking of saving money, the Samsung Art Store will offer hand-picked artwork every month for users to display for free. Our art store has over 2,500 pieces and other ways to purchase them. Whichever art you choose, it must look exactly like it does in the gallery, according to the Pantone Validated Artful Color certification.
You can also view your own images and photo albums using the Samsung SmartThings app. If you want to take it a step further, you can also get the Samsung Music Frame. Music Frame acts as a picture frame, Bluetooth speaker, and subwoofer for The Frame (or any Samsung TV).

Samsung The Frame 2024: Outlook
Designed to reproduce artwork and TV content with equal fidelity, Samsung's The Frame is a TV made for art fans who prioritize aesthetics. The test results are solid, but they pale in comparison to other screens Samsung offers. If picture quality is most important to you, then this isn't the TV to buy, but if looks are most important to you, The Frame definitely delivers.
