PrizePix, the largest DFS site in North America, will air commercial spots on Stars local television broadcasts and be featured on digitally enhanced dashboards along the ice, providing fans with a VIP experience.
PrizePix signed its first contract with an NHL team on Thursday.
The daily fantasy sports company has announced an official partnership with the Dallas Stars.
PrizePix, the largest DFS site in North America, will air commercial spots on Stars local television broadcasts and be featured on digitally enhanced dashboards along the ice, providing fans with a VIP experience.
PrizePicks also now has access to the Dallas logo on the site.
“We are excited to further establish the PrizePicks brand alongside a great franchise like the Dallas Stars,” said Adam Wexler, CEO and co-founder of PricePicks. “Texas is one of our highest interest markets and hockey is one of our fastest growing segments. This partnership accelerates our ability to enhance the game day experience for our fans.”
This is PrizePicks' first partnership in the Lone Star State, which has no legal sports betting but is the largest market in which DFS sites operate.
“Elevating our fans' game day experience is always a top priority for us,” said Dallas Stars President and CEO Brad Alberts. “We are excited about our partnership with PrizePicks and look forward to engaging with our fans in this new and unique way.”
look up
PricePicks, an Atlanta-based company with operations in 34 U.S. jurisdictions and Canada, needed some good news after running into regulatory issues this year.
On February 15, PrizePix stopped offering paid Pick 'Em style games in New York and reached a $15 million settlement with Empire State regulators for operating illegally in New York. Currently, PrizePicks is seeking a license to operate in New York.
Florida regulators recently sent a second cease-and-desist letter to PrizePicks and two other DFS sites to end their operations in the Sunshine State.
Texas, on the other hand, has no laws prohibiting the operation of DFS sites in the Lone Star State.
big deal
The popular NHL franchise is one of the biggest deals on PrizePicks. The company has partnered with his BIG3 Basketball League and has an exclusive DFS contract with Stephen A. Smith Shaw.
The Stars are one of the top teams in the NHL this season. Dallas leads the Western Conference with 76 points, third most in the entire league, heading into Thursday's game.
