JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, located at 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.
Here we will introduce three of them.
This close-knit pair of puppies are like a married couple. They adore each other and are a very sweet couple. Winnie the Pooh is a 2 year old blonde Pomeranian. Midnight is a black American Staffordshire mix and is also 2 years old.
Winnie the Pooh and Midnight were adopted by their owners who had very nice things to say about them. They are both housetrained, crate trained, and calm. Midnight responds with aggression. She was able to speak and said, “Mommy, come out, nam, nam, and I love you.” We are both peanut butter lovers.
Little bear Mr. Pooh loves to be held and carried and loves to play with squeaky toys. These two adorable puppies will be up for adoption together.
Cadbury just turned one year old and looks like a big kitten. Cadbury was surrendered to his owner due to health issues.
This handsome black and gray tabbie features bold stripes with a large M on the forehead. Cadbury comes for treats and gets along well with the other cats in the house.
An online application is required to adopt a dog. Meeting the dog is also a must. You can use a cat room walkthrough to test your reactions. Dog adoption fees are $150 for medium and large dogs and $250 for puppies and small dogs, and include vaccinations, microchip and neutering.
Cat adoption fees are $60 for one cat or $80 for two cats and include applicable exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter.
