The good news is that many different animals can be therapy animals, not just dogs. Cats, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, miniature pigs, birds and even llamas and alpacas are eligible to enroll through the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program, which attracts more than 3 million visitors annually.
