Once a month, we will feature two pets available from the SLO County Animal Shelter. This week it's Rosie and Hazel's turn in the spotlight!
First up is Rosie from SLO County Animal Services Shelter!
She came to the county shelter a few months ago with nine cubs, all of whom have been adopted.
She is a 9 month old Mastiff who was a little shy at first but came out of her shell and made friends with everyone. She loves learning tricks, playing with others, and being as silly as possible. She is currently 70 pounds but she still needs to grow. At 9 months old, she's the perfect age to train and shape her to fit your lifestyle without the stress of a younger puppy.
To inquire about adopting Rosie, please call (805) 781-4400.
Now, if you turn to the road to the Forest Humane Society, this is Hazel.
She is a 2 year old shepherd mix who lives in foster care and is patiently waiting for her forever home. She had quite a bit of stress and sadness in the shelter, but she did much better in the comfort of her foster home.
She loves playing, learning tricks, and most of all being with other dogs. She loves going to dog daycare and going on adventures
Woods is asking prospective adopters to either adopt another dog already or adopt one of the many friends at the shelter.

These two adorable dogs aren't the only ones looking for homes. The Woods Humane Society currently has a large inventory of puppies and is hoping you can find one.
They will go home soon. This weekend (January 26th to 28th), all foster homes for puppies under 5 months of age will be half price.
