LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet every Friday to help you start your weekend in the best possible mood.
The Pet of the Week can be a local fur baby already living in a happy home in Lebanon County. Our weekly column may also spotlight animals available for adoption through local shelters and looking for forever families.
This week we're introducing you to adoptable porters!
Porter is a pit bull mix who is estimated to be 3 years old.
“He came to us as a stray dog and was never adopted,” a representative from the Lebanon County Humane Society told Rebtown.
“Porter is a friendly pup and likes everyone he meets,” a shelter official said. “He has a brave and courageous personality! He likes to play tug and run around in the yard. He tries his best to understand that his leash is not a toy to pull. Masu.
“Porter enjoys human attention and affection, and even kisses. He knows the commands 'sit' and 'paw'.” He will do well with dog-savvy children. Canine siblings will count on meet and greets. ”
If you are interested in adopting Porter, please fill out an adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
