LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet every Friday to help you start your weekend in the best possible mood.
Pet of the Week occasionally features local fur babies already living in happy homes in Lebanon County. This column may also spotlight animals that are available for adoption through local shelters and are looking for forever families.
This week, meet adoptable Malcolm!
Malcolm is a 2-year-old Cane Corso mix with a “perpetual puppy face,” said Mika Stiefel, president of Pitty's Love Peace.
Mika said the boy “loves and cuddles with people he trusts” and “loves going for walks and playing with toys, especially stuffed animals.” He's also eager to learn, but “doesn't realize how big he is,” she says. Since he's a Houdini, he'll need a sturdy crate, she added.
Although Malcolm does best in a home without children or other animals, he is “slow to open up to new people and prefers to maintain a small inner circle,” Micah says.
“His ideal home would have plenty of space for him to run around and show his playful side,” she says. The shelter is “looking for strong leaders who are committed to continuous training and maintaining a structured environment that allows them to do their best.” Suitable for someone with experience with Cane Corsos.
