cricket story
Cricket was a 7-month-old stray shepherd mix who was rescued from an animal shelter in the summer of 2021. Operation Pets Alive has identified Cricket and several other dogs as suitable candidates for adoption and even transportation programs. Unfortunately, due to a lack of foster homes, Cricket was placed in a short-term boarding facility, but fortunately he was saved from being euthanized into space.
In September 2021, Cricket and several other boarding dogs had the opportunity to participate in an adoption event. Her bright personality won the heart of her adopted son, and she decided to live with him from that day on. Everyone thought this was a happy event for cricket.
Sadly, in January 2024, Cricket's husband had to move into a nursing home and was no longer able to go with him.
Cricket is now back in Operation Pets Alive's foster care program and is enjoying her foster home, but she deserves a home of her own. Her foster parents at Cricket say this about her:
“Cricket is laid back and easy going. She gets along well with our alpha female and grumpy old mastiff mix. Cricket and our female get along well and play, play, play Cricket needs another canine friend to play with. She loves belly rubs and lounging on the bed with the other dogs. She is loud when she wants to play, but… She does not bark at neighbors or trash men like the other two. She is house trained and crate trained and is fun to raise. She would be a great addition! ”
Cricket is spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. She is about 70 pounds and a little over 3 years old. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Cricket, please submit an application on her website at Operation Pets Alive (no obligation to adopt) with her name and her ID D210389: https://operationpetsalive.org/programs/adopt/
