After 20 years working in corporate America, Neil Sheth and his wife decided to try their hand at the pet business and opened Pet Evolution in Frisco in February 2023.
The franchise is based in Minnesota, Sheth said, adding that this is the first location to open outside of its home state.
Pet Evolution offers premium pet food, toys, accessories, self-wash stations and grooming services, Sheth said. Pet Evolution's second location opened in Frisco in February, but is not owned by the couple.

Pet Evolution offers a level of service that other stores don't have, Sheth said, adding that when pet parents come into the store, staff members ask about their pets and can advise them on which pet food is best. Ta.
“A lot of people come to us and ask, 'What would you do?' or 'What do you think?'” Sheth says. “Ultimately, you become a problem solver, and that helps a lot.”
Sheth said the chances of health problems such as diabetes can be reduced through proper diet.

Sheth said she wants to give back to the community and works with many local animal shelters to provide pet food at discounted prices.
“This allows us to feed the animals very high quality kibble instead of processed dog food,” Sheth said. “They were going to go to Walmart before, but we were like, 'Let's match the price.'”
The store also regularly donates canned and bagged food to pet food pantries to help families in need of feeding their pets. Sheth said the store also works with Rescue Row, a dog rescue group in North Texas.
