WASHINGTON, DC, January 29, 2024 (PAHO) – The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) protects immigrants' right to health and equitable access to quality health services.
The call also aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge on a variety of interventions that respond to the needs of migrants and guide the search for short-, medium- and long-term solutions in diverse geographical regions and contexts.
Diverse stakeholder participation is encouraged, including:
- National authorities (public health institutions and other relevant departments)
- academic institution
- civil society organizations
- Nongovernmental organization
- media agency
- research Institute
- Experts (experts, policy makers, researchers)
Interested parties can submit initiatives, interventions, solutions, methodologies, or procedures that protect migrants' right to health and ensure equal access to quality health services. These should demonstrate results that can be adapted and/or replicated in different contexts and in different countries, regions, and organizations. Similarly, technical cooperation with PAHO can be considered if the proposal is properly explained.
Proposals are accepted at regional, sub-regional and regional (national) levels, address common themes and can be submitted in English, Spanish or Portuguese.

Proposals will be accepted only through PAHO's Good Practice in Public Health portal until 31 March 2024.
