MOUNTAIN TOP, Pa. — Oliver needs a loving family and a feline friend to keep him company.
Oliver's adoptive mother, Donna Vaughn, said: “He's a very sweet kid. He's beautiful and has beautiful markings. He's just friendly and outgoing and loves to play.” . She calls him Olly.
Olly was rescued from a hoarding situation in the spring and has been fostered. NEPA Pet Fund and Rescue Ever since then. He is just over a year old. When he was found as a kitten, he had a respiratory infection and an eye infection, but was treated and made a full recovery.
Now that Ollie has become very comfortable in his foster home at Mountain Top, he is ready to go to his forever home.
“He's a snuggle bug. He's always at your feet. He's a bit of a trip hazard in that regard. He's always at your feet and rubbing against your feet,” Vaughn said.
Olly doesn't need any medication, but his eye is scarred by the infection. Rescue workers said his eyesight was not affected, but his eyes were slightly cloudy.
Olly has never been alone and needs some companionship in his forever home.
“One thing about Oliver is that he has to go to a house that has another cat, at least one more cat. He gets very frustrated when he doesn't have a feline friend. When he was adopted and left alone, he just carried him for days,'' Vaughn said.
Other than that, Olly is great at meeting new people and doesn't let anything bother him.
“He can get a little naughty when he's playing, so we probably wouldn't recommend it for younger kids, but it's fine for older kids,” Vaughn said.
