Some students at the small university said they were shocked to learn of the serious charges against staff members.
“It's kind of unfortunate that there are people who would be distributing drugs on campus, especially people who have influence over sports teams. It's kind of disappointing to know that someone with that much influence was distributing drugs,” Montana said. said Riley Mitchell, a student at the College of Engineering.
Montana Tech issued the following statement regarding this matter: “Montana Tech University is aware of the arrest and charges. As this is a personnel matter, we will not comment.”
Mr. Bowsher's lawyer, Charles McIntosh, said he was surprised by the charges and asked the public to grant his client the same presumption of innocence expected of him. He intends to have the customer's deposit reduced.
