Symptoms of rabies include abnormal behavior, irritability, headache, fever, inability to eat or drink, loss of balance, circling, seizures, coma, and death. All warm-blooded mammals are susceptible, including humans.
MCHD rabies officers vaccinated 2,004 pets (1,600 dogs and 404 cats) in 2023.
