We love our pets more than words can express. We buy them toys, clothes, and treats. We invite them to dinner and take them on vacation. So, naturally, we try to treat them as much like family members as possible.

In fact, a staggering 83% of respondents admitted to sharing a bed with a dog, while 54% of us chill out with a cat. Outside of Missouri, we were the most likely to share a bed with a pet, with 89% sharing a bed with a dog, scoring slightly higher.
However, some experts argue that sharing a bed with your pet may not be sanitary, especially if you don't wash your pet or change the sheets frequently.
The trend toward snuggling with pets during sleep reflects Michigan's pet-friendly culture and the value placed on the well-being and companionship that animals provide. Whether it's the comfort of a loyal canine friend or the soothing presence of a feline companion, Michiganders have clearly embraced the idea of sharing their sleeping space with their pets.
This heartwarming trend not only speaks to the loving nature of Michiganders, but also highlights the therapeutic benefits and joy that comes from the close companionship of a pet.
