MGM Alternative is entering the world of gaming.
Amazon MGM Studios has signed an agreement with the Global Esports Federation (GEF) to create content around global Esports games, esports competitors, and gaming lifestyles.

MGM Alternative produces programs such as: the voice, shark tankand survivor A rebooted physical competition show is currently gaining traction in the UK. Gladiator It debuted last weekend to 6 million viewers.
Producers will work with GEF to develop linear and streaming content, as well as live events within GEF's esports conventions and events.
GEF's mission statement is “dedicated to increasing the credibility, legitimacy, and prestige of esports.” Some of its signature events include the Global Esports Games and the Pro Series Global Esports Tour. Recently, the third edition was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2023. It is scheduled to be held in China this year, the UAE next year, the United States in 2026, and Qatar in 2027.
Esports continues to grow in popularity around the world, with this month's Statista statistics showing the market is worth an estimated $4.2 billion and is expected to continue at a CAGR of over 7% from now until 2028.
“With global interest in esports at an all-time high, we want to share the stories and excitement surrounding global esports gaming, its athletes, and gaming lifestyles,” said MGM Alternative General. Manager Barry Poznick said. “This is the beginning of a grand collaboration with the Global Esports Federation to develop content that will appeal to a global audience of both gamers and non-gamers.”
