SISTERSVILLE — A large crowd of citizens and hospital staff attended Memorial Health System's town hall meeting Thursday at the Sistersville Fire Station.
Dan Breese, president of Sistersville General Hospital and chief medical officer of Memorial Health System; Heidi McGowan, Sistersville General Hospital Administrator; I was there to discuss the new Sistersville General Hospital being built with Bob Gething, Principal of architecture firm Trinity NAC. The group answered questions about the planned state-of-the-art facility and explained initial plans for the new space.
The new 30,000 square foot hospital will replace the existing facility announced last June.
“You can't walk anywhere in the hospital without being heard.” Mr McGowan said. “We provide excellent care now, and we plan to provide excellent care in our new facility.”
The new hospital will include a state-of-the-art laboratory and diagnostic testing center, a 4,500-square-foot emergency department, eight inpatient rooms, a community room for classes and meetings, range and minor procedures, and a 24/7 emergency department. Medical care will be provided. Mention.
“This project is important because it will ensure Tyler County has access to health care for decades to come.” Brees said.
