(WHNT) — Pets across the Tennessee Valley are looking for furry homes. This week we bring in her two adorable dogs who are looking for a place to call their own home.
First up is Magnolia! This beautiful girl has a curly tail, and the staff at Florence Lauderdale Animal Services considers her to be something of a guard dog for her livestock.
She is shy and timid at times, but is always kind. Magnolia likes toys and she had fun meeting a male dog. According to her shelter, she is very gentle with accepting treats and usually asks for a little affection. Staff said they believe she is about 2 years old and weighs about 75 pounds.
If you are interested in adopting Magnolia, visit her at Florence Lauderdale Animal Services, 3240 Roberson Road in Florence, or call the shelter at (256) 760-6676.
Next is Koda-san! Koda is currently staying at the Greater Huntsville Humane Society (GHHS) and came to the shelter with his younger brother, Jake, who was recently adopted.
According to staff, he is a very affectionate and adorable 6-year-old boy. He's a bit like a teddy bear and loves getting lots of attention. According to the shelter, Koda recently tested positive for heartworms, but has started medication and should be cured after a few months of regular treatment.
GHHS officials said Koda would likely do best in a low-energy home where he can stay calm and an owner who is tolerant of being walked on a leash.
