The Arlington Animal Welfare League posted photos of two lost pets on its X page (formerly known as Twitter) in hopes the public can help find their owners. .

The bird, a rare Saxon Fairy Swallow Pigeon, was discovered on Feb. 8 in the 5000 block of South 9th Street, shelter officials said. The pigeon has stripes, but so far authorities have only been able to track it to a livestock auction in Pennsylvania.
On February 10, a female long-haired black and white cat was found in the 2000 block of Wilson Boulevard. No collar or microchip was found.
