Miami Beach, Florida, April 10, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lincoln Road, an iconic outdoor shopping, dining and cultural destination located in the heart of Miami Beach, brings together lesbian, gay and bisexual members to celebrate Miami Beach Pride We have unveiled a new public art installation. The transgender community, its friends, allies, and supporters came together to celebrate the unique spirit and culture of the LGBTQ+ community. The title of the installation is “pride 247” is on display until June 30th and highlights the artistic vision of AMLgMATD, Miami-based artists Raz Ohalde and Natalie Zlamalova.
The two put their creativity to work reimagining the LGBTQ pride flag using polypropylene webbing straps threaded between floating palm trees on Lincoln Road's Euclid Oval. It is the focal point of a picture-perfect gathering space that reminds us that we are individuals who together weave the fabric of society. In addition, artists elevated the district's entrances at Washington Avenue and Alton Road and at Euclid Oval and added colorful textile sleeves to all planters that reflect the Pride Progressive flag.
