Our full-service salon in south Tulsa offers pedicures, haircuts, and photo shoots.
However, this business caters to a very specific clientele, so not everyone can get a reservation.
Clients come in needing work done and leave ready to be photographed.
Murray, a customer of Katie Thomas, wants to get a new job.
“Murray is a certified good kid. He's a real gentleman. He was a bit of a rambunctious kid when he was younger, but he's really settled into himself,” she said.
Murray has been coming to see Katie at Noah's Bed and Biscuits for six years, ever since he was a puppy.
“We ourselves consider these dogs to be our second family. When an accident like the one in which this dog's younger brother was hit by a car recently occurred, I felt torn apart just like my family. '' Thomas said.
And like any other family member, they deserve their place in the mantle.
Groomers like Trissani Bennett check the skin to make sure there aren't any areas of matted fur, but once that's no longer bothering you, it's time to pose.
“I love to keep learning and I love doing fun, funky styles for some of my clients. Bart here gets a teddy bear cut and he looks like a little stuffed animal. '' Bennett said.
“It's great that they come regularly. They see grooming as just a part of life,” Thomas said.
All clients will have a photo taken showing off their new haircut at the end of each appointment.
“I love dogs because not everyone has the time or the luxury to have their dog photographed professionally. “It's really great,” Thomas said. Okay, I think that's the cherry on top for a lot of people. ”
A precious memory for the owner.
