JPMorgan vice president Anirudh Kejriwal told X about his unpleasant experience trying to buy an apartment in Gujarat. He claimed in his post that he faced “caste discrimination” during his stay in the state. He also tagged Gujarat Police, other senior police officials and ministers.
“I was shocked to face blatant caste discrimination at Sant Vihar 1 Society in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. I tried to buy a flat because the society management had barred me from entering the country because of my caste. My attempt turned into a nightmare,” Anirudh Kejriwal wrote.
“After paying a hefty advance, plans were afoot to finalize the sale and purchase agreement. But the first red flag was the seller's avoidance of providing an NOC from the association. Little did we know. But the real problem was deeper,” he tweeted. “My concerns were confirmed when the president and management of the association openly stated that they would refuse to admit people from ‘other’ castes.In the heart of Gujarat, this blatant discrimination strikes me as unbelievable. “It made me feel like I couldn't do it,” he added.
