Another week is over and we are ready. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. There were a lot of memorable moments at last night's Oscars, but the show-stopping one, stand up and take notice, was Scott George's performance and his nomination for “Killers of the Flower Moon.” The song was so great that it received a standing ovation. “Oppenheimer'' won seven categories, including Best Picture. The other big winner of the night was “Poor Things,” which won four Oscars, including Best Actress (Emma Stone). Da'Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress for “The Holdovers.” Meanwhile, Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon entered the night with 10 nominations, but was shut out.
2. The Department of Justice has opened a criminal investigation into the door explosion of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max that occurred in January. Boeing said documentation related to key bolt removal during assembly was either lost or not provided.
3. It always feels like the scene in a movie where the bomb countdown clock goes off and someone tries to diffuse it – the $459 billion budget was voted on and approved over the weekend with two hours to spare. A government shutdown was averted due to a spending package.
4. New research shows some interesting trends in real estate. According to the survey, more than half of people would be fine with buying a new home and splitting the mortgage with a friend.
5. Say hello to the latest winter sports craze: skijoring. It combines skiing and rodeo and is becoming increasingly popular. No one is calm when thinking about this, I mean, think about it. The sport came into play when Colorado legalized marijuana. Coincidence?I'm afraid not
it's becoming a trend
