CVAS encourages anyone looking to bring a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoption at shelters.
Pets become homeless for a variety of reasons and need a new home and a second chance. If you're looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter's many residents. They all make great pets and great companions.
Currently, adoptions are by appointment only, and this is working very well. Donors also provided supplies and funds for homeless animals at the shelter.

Sky
Skye is a 7-year-old terrier mix who came to the shelter as a stray dog. So, we don't have much information about her, but we do know that she is a loving girl. Skye loves attention and loves petting and petting all the pets she can. She is the sweetest girl you will ever meet!
Skye tested positive for Lyme disease and anaplasmosis, both tick-borne diseases, and is currently on medication. During her spaying surgery, she also had her mammary tumor removed, but it turned out to be benign. Sky has no past usage history, so age restrictions may apply to your child. Be sure to consult with the evacuation center staff. Skye wants to find her forever home. CVAS, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, Kennel License # 2090

Griddle was surrendered to a shelter because his owner was moving and I couldn't take him with me. She is an 8 year old brown tabby who has her own opinions about things. She likes to be noticed on her own terms. If you understand that your cat likes griddles, consider giving her another chance. She loves having a place to call her own.
