CVAS encourages anyone looking to bring a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoption at shelters.
Pets become homeless for a variety of reasons and need a new home and a second chance. If you're looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter's many residents. They all make great pets and great companions.
Currently, adoptions are by appointment only, and this is working very well. Donors also provided supplies and funds for homeless animals at the shelter.

howlett
Howlett came to the shelter as a stray dog. He is a 1-year-old Akita mix, and although he can be stubborn at times, he is generally a cheerful and handsome guy. He likes to be around people, has experience with stubborn breeds, and needs someone willing to work with him.
Howlett is good at sitting and rocking and loves to go outside for walks and play in the garden. He is motivated by treats and enjoys his Kong toy. Howlett tested positive for Lyme disease, and he is currently receiving antibiotics. Since he has no past medical history, age restrictions may apply to children in the household. patchwork
Patchwork is a 3-year-old calico cat who came to the shelter as a stray. She is a really nice girl and I love to rub her belly! Patchwork does not seem interested in being with other cats and she may do best as the only cat in the house. She has really pretty golden eyes and she would make a great companion for anyone.
