Weatherford – SWOSU softball lost to Arkansas Tech 3-1 in the final game of the series on Saturday. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs clinched the series victory with a two-game shutout victory over the Golden Suns in Friday's doubleheader.
It was their first series win against Tech while playing in the Great American Conference. SWOSU finished the year with 12 wins and 18 losses, and 8 wins and 9 losses in league play.
With no midweek schedule next week, SWOSU will return to play against Southern Nazarene on an earlier than usual weekend schedule to coincide with Easter weekend. The Bulldogs will travel to take on the Crimson Storm on Thursday and Friday.
In Saturday's game against Tech, they kept the offense at bay, but they did come out late.
