An IndiGo passenger has set the internet on fire after claiming that he found a screw in his sandwich on a flight from Bangalore to Chennai. The incident raises concerns about aviation food service amid a spate of incidents in which bugs and insects have been detected in food.
Reddit user @MacaroonI13601 reported that he was served a spinach and corn sandwich on a February 1 flight from Bengaluru to Chennai, while sharing an image of his “sandwich.” He left his sandwich unattended throughout the trip. After he disembarked, he opened the package and was surprised to find a screw inside.
He then contacted the airline and demanded an apology, but Indigo claimed his complaint was invalid because he had ingested the food.
“Recently, when I was traveling on Indigo from BNG to Chennai on 01/02/24, I asked the airline for an apology and they said there was a screw in the sandwich. They said they couldn't find it because they had eaten it after the flight. I got a reply. Easy to read!!! #indigo How should I approach this so that Indigo can at least accommodate,” wrote an IndiGo passenger.

It is not a difficult procedure like a normal trial. They may be asked to appear at a hearing to ask questions about your version, and they must attend as well. And the court will likely close after two hearings at most! ” Another user commented, “Indigo is finding new ways to trick people.”
