The final round of the 2024 Six Nations is approaching, with teams in fierce competition for the final places and millions of pounds in prize money at stake, adding an extra edge to Super Saturday.
According to a report by RMC SportsSix teams will share the €12m (about £10m) jackpot, with the winner clearly taking home the lion's share.
Six Nations hits jackpot
The final standings have not yet been officially determined for Super Saturday, leaving England, Scotland and France mathematically open to snatching the title from Ireland.
Italy, on the other hand, could finish as high as third, which would be their highest ever ranking, but a loss could see them finish sixth, avoiding a wooden spoon finish in the Six Nations for the first time in 21 years. This will lead to a clash with Wales, who are aiming for the same goal.
Whichever team wins this weekend will receive a significant financial boost, with prize money up for grabs for most teams and further underscoring the high stakes of the tournament.
according to RMC SportsThe 2024 Six Nations winner will take home a prize of €3.5 million (about £3 million), with Ireland able to claim the prize if they defeat Scotland.
If Ireland defeats Scotland and wins the championship, France and England will go head-to-head in the match for second place. The winner at Lyon will walk away with €2.8m (about £2.39m).
