Baxter Health recently welcomed board-certified vascular surgeon Heath J. Brousard, MD, to its medical staff. He joins the Baxter Health Cardiovascular Clinic and the practice of Dr. F. Michael Bauer, Dr. James Manns, Dr. Kent Nachtigal, and nurses Emily Brown and Kathy Pliner.
Dr. Broussard practiced in Jackson, Tennessee for 25 years before moving to Mountain Home. With a special interest in endovascular techniques for treating vascular diseases, Dr. Broussard performs complex abdominal aortic aneurysms and other complex vascular surgeries involving the mesenteric and subclavian arteries. We also perform carotid artery bypass surgery. His ongoing research and publications in vascular surgical care, along with his extensive experience in the specialty area, will help Baxter Health strengthen its position as a leading provider of heart and vascular services in north central Arkansas and south Missouri. A graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Dr. Broussard attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his general surgery and vascular surgery specialty training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Broussard has worked diligently to become a consultant, speaker, physician proctor, and clinical representative proctor for Terumo Aortic, Medtronic Spine/AV, and Silk Road Medical.
