HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) — Deputies with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office are searching for a Hammond woman accused of committing pet bond fraud.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards said Sarah Jaycee Saucier, 30, allegedly told a resident of the Creek apartment complex that her pet was an “emotional support animal.” He said he is suspected of offering to sell a letter signed by a psychologist giving him the right to call.

According to TPSO, Saucier told the tenant that the letter would be half of the pet deposit.
Edwards said it was later discovered that the letter was “signed by her, not the actual doctor.”
Saucier is said to have been employed at the apartment complex at the time of the fraud, and is said to have received money from 15 residents.
Edwards said warrants were subsequently issued for Saucier's arrest on 15 counts of misdemeanor theft, 15 counts of unlawful transfer of funds and 15 counts of forgery.
Anyone with information about Socier is asked to call Detective Joe Vaughn at 985-902-2072 or Tangipahoa Crime Stoppers at 1-800-554-5245.
