GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Georgia Amoore scored 23 of her 27 points in the second half, her 15th 20-point game of the season, and short-handed No. 11 Virginia Tech defeated Miami 55-47 on Friday. They defeated them and advanced to the ACC tournament. Reached the semi-finals for the third consecutive year.

Amour was substituted in the second half. She scored eight of Virginia Tech's 11 points in the third quarter, hitting a running jumper from the corner with 43 seconds left and a layup just before the buzzer to extend the lead to 36-33.
Virginia Tech made baskets on three consecutive possessions and scored six straight points to take a 45-37 lead. After Miami sank its first 3-point shot in 14 attempts with 2:13 left, Amoore weaved through three defenders and made a tough layup for Virginia Tech's fourth straight goal.
Miami rallied with 1:32 left in the game when Amoore made two free throws to take a nine-point lead. After Miami coach Katie Meyer was called for a technical foul, Amoore made four free throws to extend the lead to 53-42.
Clara Strzok, a 6-foot-5 freshman from Hamburg High School, replaced Kitley with 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks in 27 minutes for Virginia Tech.
Jasmine Roberts scored 12 points and Cheyenne Day-Wilson added 11 points for Miami (19-12). Jahlia Williams had a career-high 12 rebounds.
Each team shot just 34.5% in the first half, but Virginia Tech made 3 of 17 3-pointers to take a 25-20 lead, while Miami made all 6 of its shots from long range. I removed it.
